Position: Project Manager
AIDSVAX Project Oversight Team
Introduction:
Global Solutions for Infectious Diseases (GSID) is a non-profit global health organization engaged in the development of diagnostic and preventive tools for infectious diseases, including HIV. The AIDSVAX B/E Project involves activities related to the development and production of AIDSVAX B/E vaccine for clinical use, including internal and CMO activities. Other projects include development of additional AIDSVAX vaccines and Dengue vaccine. The project manager will be a member of all project teams, and will provide project management services to all applicable GSID projects.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement project plans, including all GSID and CMO activities.
- Plan and direct project plan schedules and monitor budget/spending.
- Monitor GSID activities and resources related to the project plan from initiation to project conclusion.
- Organize activities ensuring completion of projects on schedule and within budget constraints.
- Coordinate with CMO project managers to monitor project status and progress at CMO sites.
- Develop and implement GSID project management policies and procedures.
Required Experience:
- B.S. or higher degree in scientific discipline (biochemistry, chemistry, etc)
- 6+ years Project Management experience in biotechnology or pharmaceutical industry
- Hands-on experience developing, implementing, and managing project plans for development and production of vaccines (preferred) or other biologics
- Working knowledge of development and approval process for biologics
